A list of Portsmouth's public transportation options and telephone numbers for local taxi companies can be found here.
For more transportation information please click here.

Airports:

Logan International Airport (BOS) - Distance to the hotel: 55 miles / 88.5 km
This is the largest airport near Portsmouth and the best option for international flights.
The drive from the BOS airport to the hotel is estimated to take about 60 - 90 minutes (dependent on traffic).

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) - Distance to the hotel: 49 miles / 79 km
This is a smaller regional airport which might work well for USA travelers.
The drive from the MHT airport to the hotel is estimated to take about 50 - 75 minutes (dependent on traffic).
Taxi fare is based on a meter. A Taxi from MHT to the hotel should cost approximately $145.00 USD (one-way).

Transportation Options From Boston Logan Airport:

When traveling from the BOS airport to the hotel there are several private car and shuttle bus options available however the highly recommended option is C&J Buslines.

Thank you to Jason Walls from QA Cafe who created a video introducing Broadband Forum members to C&J Buslines. To view the video click here.

C&J Buslines operates a bus that stops at every terminal in Logan International Airport every hour (beginning it's journey ten minutes past each hour). This bus travels directly to the Portsmouth Transportation Center with one stop in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The bus ride is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

It is recommended that you purchase tickets for C&J Buslines online and print it ahead of time. The price is $23.00 USD one-way, or $46.00 USD round-trip. If you are unable to purchase your ticket online, you can pay the fare when you arrive in Portsmouth at the ticket counter. When boarding the bus present the driver with a photo ID, which they will hold and then return to you at the ticket counter in Portsmouth after you've paid.

One of the benefits when riding with C&J Buslines is in route WiFi.

From the Portsmouth Transportation Center, it's a short Taxi ride (about a 7 to 10 minute drive with the estimated fair of $15.00 USD) to the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel. Alternatively, if you are looking for a rental car to use for the week, C&J Buslines has a special rate available on cars through Enterprise Rent-a-Car, which can be accessed through the C&J website Enterprise will organize a pick-up at Portsmouth Transportation Center.

Two other shuttle bus & private car options recommended by the hotel are:
Flight Line (shared or private, door to door van service) +1.800.245.2525
Regal Limo Service (mini buses, town cars and limos) +1.603.964.9460

Transportation Options From Manchester-Boston Regional Airport:

From the Manchester Airport there is a limited bus service to/from the Portsmouth Transportation Center by East/West Express. The drive is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

One other shuttle bus option is Flight Line who provides shared or private, door to door van service.

Getting Around in Portsmouth:

Once you arrive in Portsmouth, restaurants, bars, and cafes are all within walking distance of the hotel. But if you're planning to travel, sightsee, or shop, outside of downtown Portsmouth a rental car is the best option.

Meeting Check-In:

All pre-registered attendees and late on-site registrants must check-in at the Broadband Forum desk in the hotel to receive meeting materials and name badge.

On-site Registration Hours at the Sheraton Portsmouth hotel:

Monday, June 8th: 7:00am - 6:00pm
