With no rest for the weary, the fourth quarter meeting in Atlanta promises to be very full as we hammer out the details of some of the key video empowering work, WT-126 is of particular interest, and build on the various TRs that are anticipated to be approved this final meeting of 2006.

Upcoming Plugfest Information

Mark your calendars! The DSL Forum will be sponsoring an Interoperability Test Event in the fourth quarter of 2006:

The strong response from the First VDSL2 Systems Integrator Plugfest has accelerated VDSL2 plugfest activity in Q406/Q107 with three successive test events. The 4th and 5th DSL Forum VDSL2 Chip Vendor Interoperability plugfests, to be held the weeks of November 28th 2006 and January 29th 2007, respectively, will allow VDSL2 chip vendors to further improve the interoperability of their VDSL2 implementations. System Integrators will again have an opportunity to demonstrate and debug their VDSL2 products at the 2nd DSL Forum VDSL2 Systems Integrator Plugfest, to be held the week of February 26th, 2007.

The upcoming release of Amendment 1 to DSL Forum TR-069 has spurred demand for more testing. The 4th DSL Forum TR-069 Interoperability Plugfest will be successful protocol and help industry leaders drive the interoperability of their TR-069 CPE and Auto-Configuration Servers.

These events will be held at the University of New Hampshire's InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) group testing facility located in Durham, NH, USA. DSL Forum Plugfests are open to all DSL Forum members. For more details, you can vist the DSL Forum's Plugfest calendar or contact Matthew Langlois at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory at +1.603.862.3089 or by email at mjl@iol.unh.edu.

BroadbandSuiteTM Launch Report
Author: Laurie Gonzalez, Marketing Director

With a goal of improving our communication of each TR's scope and relation to the full body of TRs, the BroadbandSuite initiative was launched this past quarter at Broadband World Forum Americas in Vancouver, BC and at Broadband World Forum Europe in Paris, France. Using active public relations outreach, educational booths, and speaker panels, the team delivered the message widely, and it was well received. The way forward is now set!
