Making the most out of the Connected Home – Broadband Forum to host free Virtual Workshops
By Craig Thomas, Senior Director Strategic Marketing at Broadband Forum
The growth of new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and enhanced entertainment, has presented service providers with a wealth of opportunities and challenges to make the most out of the Connected Home. To ensure success, attention must shift to rethinking and considering how the broadband experience is delivered and measured in the home and business – from content to the WiFi User interface.
The User Services Platform (USP) standard (TR-369) is the evolution of Broadband Forum’s existing TR-069 which focuses on enhanced user experience. Designed and built by a host of vendors and service providers within Broadband Forum, it leverages the experience of deployed managed services through complex network environments.
Taking advantage of USP
As the IoT market continues to gather pace, Broadband Forum is inviting you to discover more about how this standardized protocol for managing, monitoring and controlling connected devices will affect the Connected Home.
Broadband Forum’s Connected Home Council will host a series of free training sessions on TR-369/USP – which are open to the public. These will be held during Broadband Forum’s Q2 Virtual Meeting, take place from Monday, June 15 and to Thursday, June 25.
