CloudCO Demonstration 2023
The above video provides an overview of the Broadband Forum’s 2023 CloudCO (Central Office) demonstration and its importance to service operators, vendors, and, ultimately, consumers. The CloudCO approach disaggregates and virtualizes network functions, allowing service providers to efficiently and quickly respond to market demands. The inherent interoperability of the CloudCO means service providers can mix and match elements to optimize their network. Those elements can reside anywhere there is satisfactory connectivity and computing power. Led by the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab, this multi-month effort culminated in a demonstration by ten vendors at NetworkX in Paris. Demonstrations of applications included client-less secure work from home, parental controls, and virtualized OMCI (ONU Management Control Interface).
