‘AVM has received BBF.247 certification for the XGS-PON fiber optic technology from the Broadband Forum (BBF) for the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber. The Broadband Forum, active across the globe, thus confirms the seamless deployment of the fiber optic FRITZ!Box in XGS-PON fiber optic networks. XGS-PON stands for X=10, Gigabit, Symmetrical, Passive Optical Network. The certification proves the conformity of the product with the latest ITU standard G.9807.1 for symmetrical 10 Gbit/s PON networks. The high performance of the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber for XGS-PON was successfully tested in the BBF’s strict certification program for optical network units (ONU).The FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber is ready for use in Germany in all common fiber optic networks.’
